St. Baldrick’s is an organization that raises money for childhood cancer research. Participants raise money for the organization and then shave their head bald in solidarity with kids with cancer. This will be the 18th year in a row that a SHS student and/or staff will be shaving!
To help “Signal Hill Shavees” raise money, we will be holding a friendly “Penny War” from Monday, February 10th through Friday, February 21st. All money raised will be divided amongst all shavees.
The gist of it: Each grade level will have a large jug to fill with loose change. Pennies are positive points, silver coins are worth negative points. So you want pennies in your container and silver coins in other grade levels! After the two weeks, points will be calculated and the grade level with the most positive points wins!
