Congratulations to 8th Grader Ayden Anders, the Signal Hill Racial Harmony Award Honoree for the 2025-2026 school year.
Ayden is a quiet leader who consistently promotes peace and goodwill through his actions. He displays these actions in the classroom as well during sporting activities. He is respectful, kind hearted, and inclusive, making a genuine effort to befriend everyone and ensure others feel valued. Rather than seeking attention, he leads by example, demonstrating empathy, honesty, and responsibility in his daily interactions. He maintains his integrity even when peers are making poor choices, choosing to do what is right instead of following the crowd.
His calm presence, strong moral character, and ability to positively influence others make him a true peacemaker among his peers. Multiple students say that when they need to make better choices, Ayden is the person to hang around!
Our staff and his peers can trust him to do the right thing without supervision, and he also approaches challenges with humility and respect. His positive attitude, steady presence, make him well deserving for this award.
Ayden was honored on Sunday, February 22nd at a special ceremony along with students from schools in the Metro-East held by the Center for Racial Harmony In St.Clair County.
Congratulations Ayden!
